Dr. Scott McLeod
Scott McLeod, J.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Educational Administration Program at Iowa State University. He also is the Director of the UCEA Center for the Advanced Study of Technology Leadership in Education (CASTLE), the nation's only center dedicated to the technology needs of school administrators, and was a co-creator of the wildly popular video, Did You Know? David Jakes
David Jakes has spent twenty years in education as a teacher, staff
developer, and technology coordinator. From his first Macintosh Classic
to his current tablet PC, David has witnessed firsthand the changes in
education that educational technology has empowered. David shares this
knowledge as a frequent speaker at technology conferences across the
United States, as well as in Canada and Europe. His interests in
educational technology include digital storytelling, developing online
curriculum, learning management systems, and developing online
communities of learning through blogging, wiki and RSS technologies.

use of technology in education.
Wesley Fryer
Wesley Fryer is an educator, author, digital storyteller, technology integration pioneer, husband and father. He serves as an international and national presenter and speaker, addressing a range of topics related to education, technology integration, distance learning, and twenty-first century literacy.
In 2005-2006 Wesley is completing his doctoral studies in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas Tech University, focusing on the impact of one-to-one computing initiatives on student achievement.
He currently serves as the Director of Instructional Support Services and Webmaster for the College of Education at Texas Tech University.

Cheryl Oakes
Cheryl has worked in the Wells-Ogunquit CSD in Wells, Maine for 12 years in the area of technology. For the past 12 years Cheryl has been a technology integrator at the K-4 grade level. Last year she was chosen by ACTEM as co-technology teacher of the year with Bob Sprankle .
Cheryl has successfully blogged with 200 3rd and 4th graders for 4 years? at Think.com . Those first bloggers are now in grade 8. Those first bloggers hold in their hands each day, the opportunity to continue conversations and problem solve real issues in our world since all 7th and 8th graders in the State of Maine are part of the Maine Learning Technology Initiative.
Cheryl experienced first hand the flatness of our planet while she was on sabbatical last year and took a WEBHEADS in Action online class with 80 people from around our planet. That online, free class introduced her to many Web 2.0 tools that have transformed her technology skills today. Cheryl just recently was appointed to a new position in her school district K-12 Collaborative Content Coach for Technology, where she is responsible for coordinating the technology infrastructure as well as 3 days a week working in schools with teachers and students. Her goal is? to share one new tool, tip or idea a day with students and staff. It is all about the conversation.
Jeff Utecht
Jeff Utecht is an international educator currently working in Shanghai, China. Prior to Shanghai, Jeff worked in Saudi Arabia and Washington State. Jeff received a Teacher Leadership Project grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in 2001 and his MS in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Technology in 2004. Jeff has presented at the Near East South Asia teacher's conference and has been involved in staff development trainings for the past 6 years.
Living and working within the international community has given Jeff first hand experience of the "flattening of our world." From the wireless deserts of the Arabian Peninsula to the fast paced changes in mainland China, Jeff provides a global perspective on technology and education.

Bob Sprankle
Bob holds a Masters of Education from the University of Southern Maine and has been a teacher at Wells Elementary in Wells, Maine, USA for 11 years. Last year, he become the Technology Integrator, teaching grades K- 4. He was involved with the SEED group in Maine as a Technology Learning Leader and helped train the first wave of teachers using laptops for the 7th and 8th grader MLTI project. Bob was awarded Maine's Technology Teacher of the Year in 2006 from ACTEM. His students have received world-wide recognition for their "Room 208 Podcast", and have appeared in numerous articles, including, The New York Times and Apple's Education Site. Vicki Davis
Vicki Davis is a teacher and technology administrator at Westwood Schools in Camilla, Georgia. She has taught for four years at the high school and middle school level. For ten years prior, she taught professional development courses for teachers and college level adult computer literacy training. She is known for her award winning class wiki, wiki-centric classroom structure, and use of broad scope of Web 2.0 tools to improve student performance. She is a graduate of the Leadership Georgia program and graduated first in her class from Georgia Tech. She actively blogs her experiences at the Cool Cat Teacher blog and has been cited in the Boston Globe and Wired News for her work with wikis.
Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach
Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach, a 17-year educator, has been a classroom teacher, charter school principal, district administrator, and digital learning consultant. She currently serves as an adjunct faculty member teaching graduate and undergraduate preservice teachers at the College of William and Mary (Virginia, USA), where she is also completing her doctorate in educational planning, policy and leadership.
Sheryl is a regular presenter at local, state, national and international conferences speaking on topics of homelessness, teacher leadership, virtual community building, and 21st Century learning initiatives.
Currently, Sheryl is co-leading a statewide 21st Century Skills initiative in the state of Alabama, funded by a major grant from the Microsoft Partners in Learning program. She is also an organizer and convener of the annual K-12 Online Conference which seeks to help educators around the world contextualise and integrate emerging technologies into their schools and classrooms.

Ryan Bretag
Ryan Bretag has spent seven years in education, both as a secondary English educator and now as an administrator at Glenbrook North High School, one of the top schools in Illinois. In his role as Instructional Technology Coordinator, he focuses on the infusion of technology into the curriculum and the facilitation of professional development for educators. He has presented and facilitated workshops at local, state, and national levels with a focus on web 2.0, blended learning environments, professional development, and 21st Century Learners. Ryan holds a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and is currently in a Ph.D. program for Educationa l Technology at Walden University where his research interests are on secondary reform and the concept of 21st Century schools. Ryan blogs weekly for Technology & Learning as well as maintaining his own blog, The Four Eyed Technologist, where he generates enthusiasm and conversation on many topics facing the world of education today.
Steve Hargadon
Steve Hargadon is the director of the K12 Open Technologies Initiative
at the Consortium for School Networking (CoSN), and is the founder of
the Classroom 2.0 social network. He blogs and speaks on educational
technology, and is particularly passionate about Open Source Software,
Web 2.0, and computing for low-income populations. He and his wife
have four children, and he spends much of his time trying to keep up
with the intricacies of new technologies and his children's uses of

John Pederson
John Pederson is nestled in the middle part of his educational career. All plans to take over the world are on hold. Today it's about joining the pieces, people, and ideas in the field of educational technology. John surfs the front edge of the "millennial generation" wave of learners that grew up learning and socializing online. After managing 10 years worth of "boxes and wires" in educational technology, John moved to the instructional side and now focuses on providing educational technology professional development for teachers. His experience in web 2.0 technologies took hold in 2001 with the blogging and has continued through 2008 with emerging personal learning network technologies such as Twitter. John's agenda is to get all educators developing and exploring their own online learning networks using tools such as blogs, wikis, and other social networking technologies vital to being a successful 21st century learner.
