Question of the Week

Obama and EdTech

President-elect Obama's second YouTube address to America referenced the importance of "modernizing our schools."

To what effect will this intent have on integrating technology into public education?
a) A whole lot. I expect a sea change in the way public education is funded and run. Of course, any effort to support this initiative will be more than what we've seen for the past eight years.

b) Somewhat. They will try and succeed to some degree but the entrenched bureaucracies and local district politics will clog up the works.

c) None. It's all talk. There are far too many other things higher up on the new president's list.
